Inflatable Boat Sealant Liquid

Material Safety Data Sheet

500ml Sealant liquid suitable for both PVC and Hypalon inflatables.

Simply add the suggested amount of liquid sealant through the valves, inflate your dinghy / SUP / RIB / Kayak etc, and roll around to distribute the sealant around the internal surface.

We suggest approx 100ml per 1mtr of tube length (or around 200ml for a typical SUP). This can extend the life of a well-worn SIB / RIB / SUP.

We recommend trying to concentrate the fluid around any known leaks. A second application can be applied once the first has cured, (wait for 24hrs).

The seam picture shows the sealant curing on a small seam leak on this SIB. It is almost invisible after curing as it seals so quickly, only a tiny amount of sealant will escape which will clean off relatively easily.

We understand that on some larger Ribs rolling it around can be quite difficult due to the weight. As such, ensure you have sufficient people to assist you and to avoid injury.

This sealant is suitable to seal small pinprick type holes, porosity issues and along seams etc. It will not repair larger damage. As a rule of thumb, if the object you are trying to seal stays inflated for several hours before going slightly soft, this fluid may be applicable. If it deflates within minutes, then a mechanical repair is required instead. As such we cannot guarantee that this sealant will solve your leak, as every leak is slightly different. Please consult a repair specialist if you have significant damage.

Made in Scotland.

We carry out RIB / SIB repairs at our workshop at Rosneath if you need assistance.
